About Jonathan Acevedo

As the Managing Partner and VP of construction, Jonathan handles the day-to-day operations and overseas ADG's single-family home building division. His sharp business acumen combined with a passion for horticulture and thoughtful design has allowed for the creation of spaces and developments that are integrated into the surrounding area and contribute to the area’s overall quality of life. His vision of a vertically integrated business model enables direct communication in all facets of real estate from design to construction planning and operations. Jonathan has a proven track record of success, navigating complex regulations, securing financing and building strong partnerships while staying committed to quality, community, and sustainability. As a forward-thinking leader, he stays ahead of market trends, developing properties that meet the evolving needs of modern lifestyles.

 

Jon possesses a diverse and extensive background, encompassing over 15 years of experience in Real Estate. Having worked as a Real Estate agent and mortgage broker in the DC Metropolitan area as well as a wholesale mortgage account executive with Merrill Lynch, his vast knowledge in the real estate industry along with his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to service are evident in his roles. He is also the founder of Ace Landscaping & Construction LLC. A Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that possesses licenses as a NC building contractor, NC public water & sewer contractor, NC Onsite Wastewater Level II Installer and a NC residential plumbing contractor. These experiences allow for a complete spectrum of knowledge and services in real estate construction while demonstrating his leadership and expertise in the field.

 

Mr. Acevedo's distinguished career also includes service in the US Army Special Operations Command and the Joint Special Operations Command as a Psychological Operations Specialist where he retired after 9 years of service as a Sergeant First Class. During his military tenure, he gained valuable experience as a contracting officer representative deployed in support of the US Embassy in El Salvador and Honduras and as a Detachment Sergeant in an Information Operation Cell. Jonathan was also selected as one of the 13 service members from the US Special Operations Command (USASOC) to participate alongside Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business (BOTFL)- Business on the Front Lines: Combining Security and Business Toward Long-term Stability project to “explore possibilities for combining security and business in novel ways toward long term stabilization outcomes in Honduras”

 

Throughout his military service, Mr. Acevedo demonstrated exceptional management capabilities, overseeing more than 85 million USD of government equipment and appropriations of services & contracts. This experience undoubtedly honed his ability to handle complex projects and budgets effectively.
